These are the FFO's of this second year seedling. No problem opening on this cool morning. Large bloom on stout 24" scape. This plant is in the shade, I will probably move it to a better location after it stops blooming.  Parentage is Molino Charm x Savannah Debutante on (unknown)

This bloom is opening better than the maiden bloom. When I first looked at it this morning I could not figure out what was wrong with the coloring. A close examination shows that the bloom is variegated. About half the fans of this plant are variegated, but this bloom is on an all green fan.
[

and again at 1130 hrs. finally a bloom that opens completely!

Full Siblings of (Sweet Southern Sunshine x Spacecoast Sweetness) x Seminole Wind

(Patrician Splendor x Classic Romance) x (Mayfair Season x JT Davis) - FFO for this plant.  Not sure why it came out as a double, but I'm pretty sure it'll just be a fluke!  I'm moving this weekend and I don't think I'll bring this one with me.  I'm trying to leave my gardens full of nice (but not my favorite keeper) daylilies.

Here's another. I posted this earlier as Molino Charm x Savannah Debutante on Princeton Paprika.  It is actually (MCxSD) x Siloam Sunburst.

Laura, I love those (SSSxSS) X Seminole Wind sib's.
Don't you just hate moving a garden? We are getting ready to put our house on the market too. It will be hard to decide what stays and what to take.

Dennis,

That bloom isn't "variegated" is blotchy and should eventually have nice even color, if not, do not keep it unless it has exceptional increase, scape development or some other really great traits.

With nearly all of the Siloam series intros you will find very little variation from the Siloam parent in the first generation, after that the successive generation crosses should begin to pick up AND show new traits/characteristics.

Tex-weather -

(Sweet Southern Sunshine x Spacecoast Sweetness) x Seminole Wind thems nice! be hard to pick a favorite of the two. As for the (Patrician Splendor x Classic Romance) x (Mayfair Season x JT Davis) seedling with the advantageous petaloids, most likely a fluke, maiden do that, get confused, etc. Color is good but nothing really exciting as a potential breeder, but a nice landscape plant.

I do not envy your moving!

Good old Stella had her FFO in my garden yesterday, so bloom season has begun in Central Indiana!

This is the second year for this seedling. (FFO today) I always called its parent (MCxSD) "perfect pink", but I guess you can improve on perfection!
The scape on this plant is a little short and it is still only one fan. I moved it from a pot to the bed last fall, and I may have divided the clump, I don't remember (I must be getting old:) There are several plants nearby that have the same appearance. I will find out when the buds open.
This shows the parentage of the above seedling.

Rebecca, Thanks for the tip on the Siloam series. I had to study to make sure the Siloam baby wasn't Siloam Sunburst.  There are some differences to the bloom, the scape is more like the MCxSD parent, and it is much earlier than SS.
I'll watch the streaked seedling To see what subsequent blooms do.  The plant has multiple fans and more should scape this year.

Variations on a theme. These three seedlings all show similar characteristics. Only one of them will be saved.
