This past week's super cool mornings here in zone 6 were frustrating at best.  Great for seeing pattern potential, but bad for seeing blooms open fully.

Welcome to the club, Peggy. This has been a bad year for blossoms opening for me too. The other problem I've had is short scapes, due to drought. 
One good thing about it; any daylily that is performing well this year ought to be fool-proof!

Ahhh...I'm another member of the short-scape club. I also am not getting good seed set. I'm assuming that's probably due to a combination of having to run a little on the dry side, and an extremely HOT spring. We normally don't see upper 90s and 100s until late July or August, but we've had several days over 100 already, and lots of "record for the day" temps. 

But at least you can see that those babies have potential with the patterned eyes Big smile
